The Louisiana Children's Museum has an area of about 30,000 sq. feet. This museum has various facilities and exhibits where the children are exposed to practical trainings. The children gain a hands-on experience while they explore the various fields of science, math, art and music.
Admission to the Louisiana Children's Museum is priced at $7 for children and their parents. Children under the age of one are entitled to free admission. Free admission is also given to the members of the Louisiana Children's Museum.
Children can enjoy real life settings at the Little Port where they can captain a ship, take part in cargo unloading and find routes on the world map. At the Turtle Training Camp, the kids can indulge in interactive video games and gain hands on knowledge regarding fitness, safety, well being and abstinence from abusive substance.
Children can also enjoy adventure in a safe playhouse specially made for them to climb and crawl without hurting themselves. The Eye to Eye facility allows the children to understand how various animals, birds and insects view their surroundings. Here, the children can gear up to be an eye doctor and do some serious checking on their fellow patients.
The toddlers can enjoy a pat-a-cake session where they bake cakes and cookies using plastic dough and other ingredients. In the Ba-Ba-Black Sheep session, the toddlers get to explore the origin of wool, silk and cotton. These interactive sessions along with nursery rhymes keep the toddlers occupied all the time.
For children who are a little grown up, the museum organizes keep-fit sessions. Here the children get into dancing and other exercises along with nutritional food to keep their body and mind healthy.
Visit this museum with your family and see for yourself how your children have fun with their friends and enjoy their time.
