Absolutely Love It! Bring Your Kids to the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans
The Audubon Zoo is located within the premises of the Audubon Nature Institute. The Audubon Nature Institute comprises of the Audubon Zoo, Aquarium, IMAX Theater, various parks and a golf course.
The Audubon Zoo has a huge collection of animals from all around the globe. What your children will especially love are the interactive programs conducted within the Zoo premises. These interactive programs would involve one-on-one interaction with the animals. The main USP of the Audubon Zoo is the natural habitats that are maintained especially for the animals. Natural habitats like the Jaguar Jungle and the Louisiana Swamp impart helpful knowledge to the kids as well as to their parents regarding the symbiotic relationship of these animals and their natural habitats.
Tickets can be bought either in combo packages or only for admission to the Audubon Zoo. The tickets are priced at $13.50 for adults, $8.50 for children and at $10.50 for the senior citizen. The Audubon Zoo remains open from 10am to 4pm on weekdays from Tuesday to Friday. On Saturdays and Sundays, the Zoo remains open from 10am to 5pm.
Take a quick visit to the Monkey Hill and have a view of the Zoo from atop. Kids can climb on to the tree house or cool themselves in the pool. After the Monkey Hill, it's time to pay a visit to the pair of Asian elephants, to the pair of white tigers and the pair of endangered species of Amur leopards.
Children can opt for a ride on to the Swamp Train that would take them to the Louisiana Swamp, opt for a simulator ride that would take them through a safari or may check out the dinosaur exhibit. The Audubon Zoo has it all that the kids would absolutely love. While at the Zoo, they are sure to have a wonderful time.
