Home to New Orleans Saints, Louisiana Superdome is a mutli-purpose exhibition and sports facility situated in New Orleans, Louisiana. Designed by Curtis and Davis modernist architectural firm, the Superdome was opened in the year 1975. Louisiana superdome is one of the prominent facilities in the U.S. that hosts popular sporting events like the Super Bowl and the Final Four. Situated in an expanse of 52 acres, the structure is located closer to the New Orleans Arena. This large steel-constructed structure is considered to be one of the largest indoor facilities for football in America.

Louisiana Superdome was home to over 30,000 people during the Hurricane Katrina ordeal. The Superdome was damaged in the hurricane and over $193 million was spent on repairing it. The dome reopened again amidst cheers and an array of programmes including concerts by U2 and Green Day. After Katrina, Louisiana Superdome hosted the New Orleans Bowl. The revival of the dome was welcomed by locals and tourists alike.
