The Louisiana State Museum and the Zulu Social Aid and Pleasure Club bring to you From Tramps to Kings

This is open from Tuesday to Sunday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. There is a range of exhibits that explore the regions, the cultural as well as civic contributions, the carnival traditions of Zulu till the present date.

Arts Market of New Orleans

This is held on the last Saturday of each month. It is situated at the Palmer Park in the Carrollton Section of Uptown New Orleans. The market features handicrafts from local as well as regional artists. Some of the styles of art are Photography, Wood, Painting, Glass, Jewelry, Ceramics, and Printmaking, and also soap, handmade clothing, candles, and a host of other items. There are also food and beverage stalls, live entertainment, and a kids' activities area.

Muriel's Jackson Square brings a New Orleans Jazz Brunch with Joe Simon's Jazz Trio

At this event you can enjoy your food as you listen to Joe Simon's Jazz Trio. There is a range of classic dishes on offer including BBQ Shrimp, Turtle Soup, Gumbo and Shrimp Remoulade together with excellent contemporary flavors.

In the Spirit: The Photography of Michael P. Smith

Michael P. Smith, with his photography captured the very heart of New Orleans music, folkways and culture. He documented the social and physical structures that framed the cultural identity of the region. This exhibition showcases his art.

Thursdays at Twilight Garden Concert Series

As you take a walk through the New Orleans botanical garden at twilight you can soak in the fine music that the place has to offer. There is water, wine, soft drinks, beer, and food that are available for purchase there.

With so many different kids of events being held in the city the tourists can look to have a wonderful time while they are here.
