The streetcar drivers will charge you 1.20 dollars when you go through any of those three lines. Currently, they offer discounts for senior citizens. Persons who have disabilities as well as those children two years of age and less will be admitted for free.

The St. Charles Avenue Line is the longest line among the three and is in fact the oldest operating street line in the world. You will surely be proud as you take this route. Although Hurricane Katrina did great damage to the three celebrated lines, nothing can stop them from operation. They resumed taking in streetcars on June 22 of the year 2008 so that the passengers will be able to enjoy a fantastic ride once again.

Up to the early 20th century, there are a lot of lines that was once used in the city. However, the three remained as the top lines because they are still in a very good condition.
